Tango Synergy in 2025

Tango Synergy, the not-for-profit association based in Sydney Australia, changes venues for its Wednesday milonga, moving it from St Johns in Darlinghurst to Tramsheds. The weekly Sunday tango practica continues at Tramsheds.

Special Events for this year include:

the Lunar New Year milonga at Ashfield Town Hall,
the new monthly Milonga Alchemy for alternative tango,
live music milonga featuring La Ola Tango x Revenge Tango

Tango Synergy in 2024

BASH 2024 Tango Weekend held in Bundanoon NSW was managed by Tango Synergy this year.

Sunday practicas are hosted at Harold Park Community Hall and Wednesday milongas are held at St Johns Church Hall in Darlinghurst.

Tango Synergy in 2023

The Association currently has two regular events per week. A milonga for social tango dancing is hosted on Wednesdays at the St Johns Church Hall in Darlinghurst. A tango practica is conducted on Sundays at the Community Space at Tramsheds, Forest Lodge but access to this venue has been variable and a secondary venue, Redfern Town Hall, is used as a backup.

Tango Synergy at Bar Cleveland

Tango at Bar Cleveland has a very long history going back to 2012, ending in 2019. Bar Cleveland on Wednesday became one of the most popular tango nights in Sydney. Many exciting events have been held there. Tango musicians, orchestras, national and international teacher’s workshops, international tango DJs, visitors from all over the world were hosted at Bar Cleveland. Local tango dancers, as well as national and international visitors will be at Bar Cleveland to enjoy friendly and warm atmosphere. Many people have commented how comfortable the venue is, how much they like the positive ambience and great vibes there. Here are few photos of tango in Bar Cleveland over the years…
