Tango Classes in Sydney for Beginners

Tango Synergy is a non-profit association that is formed to promote the tango in Sydney. Our membership is composed of well-established tango dancers.

Often we get asked – where can beginners learn to dance tango? Tango Synergy hosts a weekly milonga (social dance) and practica (practice) and these are open to all skill levels, but we understand it can be nerve-racking experience for novice dancers to dance socially for the first time.

If you are new to tango, you are welcome at Tango Synergy’s Wednesday milonga or Sunday practica, but to get the most out of tango, we think that beginners should attach to a group class with well regarded instructors. Tango is a challenging dance form to learn, but is also a highly rewarding one.

For new tango dancers in Sydney, if you want to start dancing tango but don’t know where to begin, see the alphabetical list below of tango schools and teachers in the Sydney area.
