Update – December 2024: Synergy hosts a weekly Sunday tango practica, located on the 1st floor at Tramsheds, Forest Lodge. A tango practica is an event where tango practice and related discussions can be conducted without the formalities of milonga etiquette, where teaching whilst on the dance floor is frowned upon. Music is selected by a roster of volunteer tango DJs.
Harold Park Community Hall (Tramsheds) is our regular practica venue. Please note that Harold Park Community Hall is sometimes booked by other groups so on these occasions we will host the Sunday tango practica at an alternative venue.
Cost: $10 / $5 members.
Dance partner required: No.
Etiquette: Cabaceo is not mandatory at a practica. In general however, we encourage the practise of cabaceo as a discrete way of negotiating a dance with a partner. We definitely encourage newcomers to meet, socialise and to practise with other tango dancers at practica.
Lessons: Sometimes, Tango Synergy will organise tango classes to occur between 6:15pm and 7:30pm. These classes are not to a regular schedule. Please check the website for news and updates. If you are a member, we will email you with announcements about Sunday classes.
