Special Annual Milonga – Milonga de la Gente on 29 October 2016
Sydney Tango and Tango Synergy are combining forces to bring you Milonga De la Gente, the most exciting milonga of the year!
The evening of 29th October 2016 will be an amazing evening so we hope that you will be able to join us.
We have chosen Petersham Town Hall for the venue. It has one of the best dance floors in Sydney and is an amazing space, big enough to host all the dancers in Sydney at once.
We have a great line up for the night with two bands, Tango Oz and Tangalo with DJ Frida playing from her extensive list of music. A sumptuous supper and a glass of wine or two will be offered. BYO is allowed. There will also be an exhibition dance by the teachers of Sydney, already a tradition for a special milonga, and a mini exhibition of art works from members of our tango community.
To top off this wonderful night Nestor Vaz, an international bandoneonista from Uruguay, will be accompanying Tangalo for their set. Nestor and Tangalo will be working together for the whole month of October and we will be saying farewell to Nestor at Milonga De la Gente. Nestor will be accompanying Tango Oz for a few songs at the beginning of the evening right on time to welcome guests and to get the celebration started.
